Why 14 days?
Apple blames Dun and Bradstreet, but Apple chooses to synchronize their D&B database every 14 days. Apple could do it more frequently or use live data, but they would rather save a few pennies. Small developers suffer the consequences of not being able to plan and getting to market more slowly. Sometimes, that can make a big difference to the small guy.
We can't make Apple act like a good citizen or care about new developer angst, but we can provide a schedule to help new developers plan.
